The first day in the field game shooting can be daunting for a youngster or beginner and an extra pair of eyes and reassuring voice can make all the difference to the enjoyment of the day. We are experienced at helping a novice with all aspects of their day from shoot etiquette and safety, to quarry recognition and shooting technique. Always close by, but never intrusive, an instructor acts more as a mentor, facilitating a safe, successful day.
For the experienced shot experiencing a lack of form or having problems with eye dominance or gun fit, a day’s instruction in the field can be invaluable. Although traditionally not always seen as “the done thing” to have an instructor with you on a driven game shoot, it is now becoming more acceptable as all guns strive for an effective, clean kill. Not all problems can be identified on the clay ground and an expensive day’s shooting can be wasted if that problem is not identified and rectified in the field. Sometimes it is just a matter of help with confidence and shot selection.
