Our founder members have a wealth of experience both in the gun trade and field sports industry. As well as selling new and pre-owned guns, we also offer our own bespoke line of exclusive shotguns. Here is some information about the team at Castle Gunmakers.
Barry Wilcox has a huge passion for shooting, fishing and the countryside in general having spent his entire working life in the gun trade, both in the UK and in America. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of all types of firearms and his services are often called upon by auction houses, the gun trade and private collectors. Barry will be pleased to help with technical enquiries and is available for valuations, appraisals and bespoke requirements.
Sam Wilcox has served his time with a major gunmaker, becoming fully conversant in all types of repairs and also sales. Being Barry's son, his life has revolved around the gun trade and game shooting in particular. Sam has a wide knowledge of everything connected with the shooting industry.
Ian Hendy is a qualified shooting instructor and has completed courses with both the CPSA and APSI. He has worked at and managed various shooting grounds around the UK. He is a keen game shooter and is available for instruction "in the field". Ian is available to help with all aspects of gun selection and gun fitting.
